remember those who are imprisoned!

An Open Window Towards Hope!

Sometimes in life, people will find themselves on the wrong side of the law. Sometimes it’s just, sometimes not. However, it is our mission to bring hope to those who find themselves incarcerated in their lifetime.
We don’t know or care why someone may be incarcerated. Our main concern is that they understand that someone truly cares about them and being there as a prayer partner, and witness of Christ to them. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who have not been properly introduced to Jesus and given the opportunity to embrace His gospel.

Our cadre of Ministers have become a crucial part of this outreach effort in the North Texas area prisons. Many men and women attend the services that are provided by our ministry that includes being able to have someone on the outside to write to and build a spiritual relationship with. Bringing this type of encouragement to our prisons gives hope to those who may feel as though they are societal castaways. When our ministry team show up at the prisons, they are received with warm greetings and loving spirits. They come to be inspired, and encouraged in walking their daily walk with confidence in Christ!

Temple Prison Ministry started in the year 2000. How it got started: I saw a need, according to Matt.25:43-46 Our Mission To go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:15-16

Our Purpose: To preach the word of God to those who will hear and are hungry to turn their lives around.

Matt.5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. We are currently ministering at Buster Cole State Jail in Bonham, TX. Crain Unit Gatesville, TX Choice Moore Unit Bonham, TX, and we’re trying to reach out to other prisons.

Meet The Prison Ministry team!

Making It Happen!

My Experience with the Prison Ministry team has been phenomenal. It is an unspeakable joy to go outside the four walls of the church and minister to the lives of the men and women incarcerated. Even more so, the opportunity to introduce God and his words to those who have never been inside a church or who have never been taught about the word of God gives me an amazing sense of purpose.
Being in the prison ministry gives you the platform to testify and let others know what you have been through and that they are not alone. Another plus is receiving letters from inmates and hearing their testimonies of how God has turned their lives around.
I have met some amazing men and women in prison and seen the talents God has blessed them with. One of the most incredible experiences I have had is seeing the smiles on their faces when we walk into the room. I also see their eagerness and hunger to hear a word from God’s servants. It is also a joy to listen to them say that they look forward to our coming and hate to see us leave. -Evangelist Joaun Moss

The Prison Ministry is like no other. It’s my heart… after giving it to God first and foremost. This ministry requires fasting and making sure we die to our flesh and allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through us for the souls who are in deep bondage. Here again, I love to say we are building God’s kingdom one soul at a time. This is my heart. You see I’ve spent lots of years of my life from a very young age being rejected. So I have come to find that so many in prison suffer from Rejection, and it’s hard for them to break loose from that bondage of rejection. See I understand what it is to be rejected by people and society. God had to deliver me from the spirit of rejection.
Prison, by all rights, is a place I should have been, but God saved me from it. Came too close to it. Have many old friends and family members in and out of the walls of prison. It’s a hurtful place, no matter how one looks at it. So my heart is deep in it for Prison Ministry.
I know God has called and chosen me to do this work. I love bringing the gospel of Jesus to the inmates, and they receive it so well.
This ministry brings me great joy and takes me deeper into God’s heart for His love, mercy, and Grace for people in bondage to the walls of prison, no matter what they did.
It’s a blessing to see God set these captives free. One soul at a time. -Evangelist Mary Murillo-Brooks
