There are no specific requirements for joining the Missionary Ministry. Apostle and Co-Pastor remind us that every member, men and women, are missionaries. Therefore, we welcome any member who wishes to participate in any area of the Mission Ministry.
Our Purpose comes from Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Our Mission is to go out into the world witnessing and sharing Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, with others. We work in the community and care for those who are sick or shut-in, visiting nursing homes and hospitals and more. We Minister to and console bereaved families. We are here to support the pastor’s overall vision of the church. We must stay focused on building God’s Kingdom.
In every church that exists and the communities in which they operate, the Missions auxiliary is the ambassador of hope that unites the two. Those faithful missionaries become the face of the ministries that they represent. Every meal that gets handed out, every blanket, coat, or pair of shoes that are given to those who are less fortunate represents a beacon of hope for better days and times ahead.
It is the resolve of every missionary to see the hungry fed, the homeless sheltered, and the lonely comforted. Anyone who has ever been in the grips of despair and has met a true missionary of Christ can tell you that they have seen God face to face and that His love is greater than any failure. It is through the tireless work of His missionaries that humanity can still look up with certainty and know that they are more precious than the sparrows that are fed each day. When missions take action, problems get solved, and solutions get implemented.
